Gently apply shoe cream or polish to shoes and boots with a Horsehair Dauber or soft cloth. Allow the cream or polish to dry and then buff the leather to a desired shine with one of our Shine Brushes. After buffing, let the brush itself air dry and wipe it clean of any clumps or build-up. We recommend using a new brush for each different colored polish to prevent cross-contamination between leathers.

    Great Product

    I bought two of the large brushes and they're very nice. They're larger than I expected, but the extra real estate is really nice, especially when shining boots. I'll definitely pick up a medium size too at some point.

    Recommended. Very pleased with my choice of this brush.

    I went through an exhaustive search for the "perfect" horsehair shoe brush before selecting this one from Woodlore. Call me obsessive, but I considered dozens of options before making my choice. I wanted one of similar size and quality to another brush I've enjoyed using for several decades. I had a preference for a product made in the USA, although I wasn't so sure I'd be able to find one to my liking still made in the USA. So I was very pleased when I came upon this horsehair shoe brush made by Woodlore in the USA. I ordered the large size and looked forward to receiving the shoe brush a few days later. Since receiving and frequently using the brush a few weeks ago, the brush has fully met all my expectations--for size, quality, appearance, and function. The bristles even exceed my expectations, being on the longer end of the range of bristle lengths I found on products I considered. All in all, I’m very pleased with this made-in-the-USA horsehair shoe brush from Woodlore. One thing I might change, if I could, is I would have a rounded groove along the long edges of the handle to make it easier to fit in the hand and hold. I'd consider that an improvement, but I don't consider their absence to be a deficiency. One last thing worth mentioning. Perhaps the clincher for me in choosing this USA-made horsehair shoe brush over other USA-made brushes I found in my search is that this one is Allen Edmonds branded (Woodlore is an Allen Edmonds company) and I’m a big fan of made-in-the-USA Allen Edmonds shoes and belts. Strangely, however, you can’t buy the large size, which is the size I wanted, from Allen Edmonds. I started my search for the perfect shoe brush on AllenEdmonds.com. If this large Allen Edmonds-branded shoe brush was offered on AllenEdmonds.com or in Allen Edmonds stores I could have saved myself quite a few hours of needless searching!

    Very Long Horse Hair brush

    I purchased the two Large Horse hair brush. Very soft 100% horse hair. When I opened the package one of the Large Horse hair brush was missing.

    Short Nap

    The brush is label Allen Edmonds but it is unlike any of my other brushes. The nap is shorter and doesn't act as such a great buffer when brushing the shoes.

    size choices

    Large are great if you have unlimited room - do not fit well in shoe valet Medium are nice compromise Small good for travel if necessary

    Large Size is Fantastic

    The large size has plenty of bristles & is well made! It makes quick work of shining my shoes. This is the best brush that I have ever seen!
