You asked, we listened! Over the years, we've read an occasional comment on our ever-popular shoe rack saying it was a bit "wobbly" so we've improved it! Instead of using pegs to insert the sides to the cross-bars, you can now connect them using screws with a hex wrench which are included. It's sturdier than ever, and we thank you for your comments.

The large Shoe Rack holds four pair of men's or five pair of women's shoes.

It's stackable and easy to assemble and the aromatic cedar scent will freshen your closet.

Purchase the Shoe Rack Topper (#82004) for this size for additional convenient storage or Shoe Rack Extenders to provide additional height (#82005).

Dimensions: 38"L x 12"W x 5.5"H / 95 x 30 x 14 cm

    Try Something Else

Purchased two large stackable racks. Wood is fine. The slats and pegs fit very loosely into the sides therefore slats fall out. Same issue with the risers. Glue is necessary. The bottom rack is much too close to the floor making visibility and access difficult. The limited spacing between levels causes some shoes not to fit and makes placing shoes difficult.

    Trendy but poorly designed

When stacked there is too little distance between the racks for high shoes. Why not have the cross members flat on the bottom to maximize the spacing? A picture of how to put the cross-members together to get the logo on the right side would have been helpful.

Holds shoes as advertised, but a little rickety

I have large (11) feet and these racks (I bought and stacked 2, with the spacers) hold my shoes fine. However, assembled (even with the top) they're a little rickety. Some of the pegs fit the holes snugly, others are loose enough to fall out of you turn the part over. I think they have a tolerance problem on the holes or the pegs that they need to fix. I plan to use the product for a bit before deciding whether I believe it needs to be glued to be rigorous enough for use.

Does what they say it does.

Rack fits my needs and budget. My only complaint is there is only enough space for my chukka boots on the top rack. Smells great even though my wife is now complaining that the closet smells like a gerbil cage.

    Perfect fit!

I have two cedar shoe racks purchased from Lands End Coming Home back in 1997. When trying to find additional racks, I noticed that they looked (and measured) exactly like these racks. After a quick call to customer service, I found out that Woodlore DID make racks for Lands End. I just received the two Woodlore racks and set of rack extenders that I ordered. I am just tickled that they FIT PERFECTLY with the 17 year old racks I already own. My shoe rack is now a sturdy four racks high and holds all my shoes. Thank you Woodlore for continuing to build a quality, long-lasting product! I will recommend these to friends!

    Exactly as adverstised

Bought 3 of these plus some additional slats when stacking Yes it is held together with simple dowels, but is plenty sturdy to hold my shoes. If I wanted sturdier construction I might consider using some wood glue on the dowels, but then it would be more difficult to take apart

    Nice Rack, but....

The racks are well made and easy to assemble. My only reason for not giving a 5 is that unfortunately while the wood is very aromatic and sturdy enough for men's shoes, the connecting joints between the pieces are the weakest aspect of the product. One must insert pre-attached plastic peged wooden shoe bars into the sides to form the rack. The problem is that if one is not careful or, as in my case, you need to remove the bars, one can inadvertantly break off the plastic pegs in either the side or bar. I broke one in half, partially in the side, and other in the bar. I'm no carpenter so I have no way of removing the broken piece from the wooden bar, and even if I could, the company does not include extra pegs (for either the bar/side connection or stacking) ...the other reason for a 4 and not a 5 rating. I must now either apply small wood screws or nails through the side and into the bar for purposes of repair. I am too afraid the company will not offer an exchange under the circumstances. Not a huge deal, but a design flaw (Bob Vila is probably snickering), at least from my perspective, nonetheless. Otherwise, the racks works, look and smell great. I own 5, had been wanting these for years in order to get rid of all the boxes in my closet and gain better access to my shoes. I've been able to organize, display, and find shoes that I had literally forgotten I owned. Once I found them on sale and with free shipping through Herrington Catalog as well as Woodlore, I pounced! ...now if they would only offer the same deal on the top shelf.
