Instead of using pegs to insert the sides to the cross-bars, you can now connect them using screws with a hex wrench which are included. It's sturdier than ever, and we thank you for your comments.

    Great Product/Easy Assembly

    This a great product for shoe storage. The cedar keeps your shoes dry and smelling good. It's also very easy to assemble. I did it in 15 minutes.

    Great Way to Organize Shoes

    Assembles easily, smells nice and keeps my twelve pair of dress shoes nicely organized. I stacked the racks three high with spacers and a topper which is very convenient for shine brush and shoe horn. My only complaint is some rough edges but that is the nature of unfinished cedar... and my shoes don't care.

    Works very well

    I'm wondering if they've changed the construction between some of the older reviews and now. The racks that I received have screws holding the slats to the end pieces. Line everything up carefully and then tighten the screws down tightly and I haven't noticed any appreciable wobbliness. The vertical connection is still done with dowels in holes that could be a bit tighter, but I'm pretty much just looking for those to keep the upper shelves from moving when I'm putting shoes onto the lower shelves. For my size 9.5, I've got decent space for shoes on the lower to racks. I've got my boots on the upper rack. As they predict, I'm able to get four pairs of shoes comfortably across (though I think I might be able to get 4.5 if I were willing to split a pair across shelves.) All in all, I'm quite pleased with the racks and debating whether to start a second stack on the other side of the closet.

    Who's Moving Their Shoe Racks?

    This does exactly what I was hoping it would do... sit on my closet floor and hold my shoes while providing a pleasant cedar aroma. Happily, this also happens to be what it is designed to do. Is it wobbly if I pick it up and move it around? Absolutely. Do I plan on carrying my shoe racks with me around the house to show them off to visitors? No (which may be my problem, I'm too boring I suppose). To date, I am pleased to report that no amount of wobble has impacted their ability to support my shoes when immobile so I am a happy customer 100% of the time in my boring, not moving my shoe racks all over existence.

    Overall good....but..

    Product is good overall. Needs to be about 2 inches taller since space is constricted, especially if you are wearing a size 13 shoes. Assembly is very simple but had to use glue to hold all pieces together since the shelves were very unstable on their own.

    Meh

    Where do I start? Shoddy construction. I set up 3 tiers and it's wobbly and won't stay assembled. The wooden dowels are loose, except for the ones that came with the topper (which are a completely different size). They skimp on wood so only very low profile shoes will fit without risers. You may need 2 risers for boots. Overall very wobbly and cheap feeling.

    Woodlore Large Shoe Rack

    Since installing my new shoe racks, my closet is the best organized in the home. Would have give 5 stars if the rack were just a bit sturdier!
