It smells more like a christmas tree than cedar. It still smells great, but I wouldn't call it cedar.

I have using this for years to keep moths away. I put wooden wicks in the bottle and get a pleasant cedar smell in clothing closets . I use 2 bottles in larger closets.
I've been using this product for more than one year. A little goes a long way. The scent is very pleasant. AND, it repels biting gnats. I've not experienced any skin irritation when I've sprayed it on my clothing. I really like it.
